Lullavy was born as the personal project of Saúl Ibáñez (Sevilla, 1984) after he was part of several bands in his hometown, Seville. In 2010 he released his first EP Cuatro Canciones (Discos Perdidos), where songs were as naked as possible: electric and acoustic guitars without ornaments nor concessions whatsoever. That same year he moved to Barcelona and he released his cover single Mil Espejos/Alarma Nuclear (2012) in Death To Everyone records, a record label run by himself in which has also released works by ‘I Am Dive’ and ‘Albufera’. In Barcelona, Lullaby is part of a band with Guillem Bonet (bass) and Ernest Gómez from ‘Wann’ (drums). Now, as an electric trio, Lullaby keeps walking on the raw, simple and unaffected path of music from the guts.
As Lullaby prepares his first album as a full band, Saúl Ibañez will play his first 2014 solo gig in LACONTRA next Saturday, February 22nd at 9 pm as a part of LACONTRA new exhibition ‘Gross Raw Love’.
