The Palau Robert metaphorically cracks open the champers this month, to help La Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid celebrate its 100th birthday. A haven for Catalan culture in Spanish Madrid and a scientific powerhouse between 1910 and 1936, the Residencia saw many a distinguished guest go through its doors, including Salvador Dalí, Federico García Lorca and Luis Buñuel.
