You won't find a Barcelona City Tour bus or Starbucks featured in Eugeni Forcano's 650 photograph collection from the Sixties. Donated to the Photographic Archive of Barcelona in 2009 by the photographer himself, 130 of these have been selected to be showcased at both Sala Cuitat and Arxiu Fotogràfic de Barcelona (City hall). For some, this collection of black and white photographs may be a portal into a romanticised Barcelona that is barely imaginable today with the mesh of commercialism, chain-stores and tourists that have taken over the city. Yet to others, it may be a painful reminder of what Barcelona once was. Whatever your experience may be, do not miss this captivating snapshot of this city's history.
