The latest exhibition to take up residence at Galería Joan Prats is by the progressive Catalan artist Jordi Alcaraz.
Entitled Aire Corrent and composed of both paintings and sculptures, the artist reflects on language, volume and time in an abstract and complex way. His work continually questions concepts of indoor-outdoor, evidence-evocation, and presence-absence.
Explored through the use of materials like water, glass and mirrors, the artist discusses the idea that once something is named, it immediately begins to disappear; as well as topics of fragility, absence and the permanence of action.
The exhibition opening will take place on Thursday, November 22nd from 7.30pm. The exhibition will be on public display from November 22nd to January 19th, Tuesday-Saturday from 11am-8pm.
