Joan Miró. Printmaking.
The Fundació Joan Miró presents Joan Miró. Printmaking, a selection of engravings and lithographs from its collection that will be open throughout the summer.
The exhibition examines the different graphic techniques that Miró employed from the Thirties to the Sixties, set in chronological order. Visitors can see Miró's experimentation with colour and how he managed to hone his printmaking skill.
The exhibition is completed by a screening of Clovis Prévost's documentary Miró, lithographie d’une affiche, which shows Miró at work on several lithographs at the Arte print studio in Paris. The footage, shot in the early Seventies, provides a detailed record of the process involved in producing a lithograph.
