Larry Coryell and Mark Whitfield - Jamboree Guitar Cycle
To end the Jamboree Guitar cycle, two leading world figures on the six strings come together at the Jamboree in a quartet line-up. The Texan Larry Coryell is one of the best established guitarists of the modern era for his ability to combine his folk and rock base with expressions like jazz, flamenco and blues. A superb exponent of fusion who, on this occasion, measures himself alongside a true stylist of the many variants of black music: Mark Whitfield, a protégé of the great George Benson. Phil Wilkinson on the organ and the reliable Esteve Pi on drums complete the group.
