Arab film festival home
CineBaix stages five Arabic films and documentaries which express each director's experiences or thoughts on the Arab world.
Films include: Harragas which projects the harsh realities of the dangerous voyage from North Africa to Spanish shores; Dernier Maquis which plays around with fiction and documentary styles to show how religion is used to repress; Lettre à ma soeur which explores the subject of political murders; Frantz Fanon, a film about the legacy of the spokesman for the anti-colonial movements and China is still far which takes a look back at the Algerian Revolution and forward to Algeria's future.
The films will all have either Catalan or Spanish subtitles. For more information, check the website.
