Steve Gibson was born in Liverpool but has long been based in Zaragoza. His main body of work has concentrated in sculpture with his latest output being life-size human forms in positions of torture and pain. Taking as a starting point the post-apocalyptic poem The Waste Land by TS. Eliot, ancient proverbs and biblical imagery, Gibson invites the viewer to witness these difficult things and insists in the following truism "Once you see it, you can't unsee it". Stating that disturbing images will remain with you.
