Eighteen photographers take a fresh look at Mallorca, a work by Argentinian-born photographer Humberto Rivas and pay tribute to the man and his work. Rivas remains famous for his work during the post-Franco transition in Spain and, indeed, worked primarily in Spain all his life. He passed away in November 2009.
The photographers included in this tribute exhibition are: Jordi Aligué, Salvador del Carril, Toni Catany, Toni Cumella, Manel Esclusa, Rosa Feliu, Joan Fontcuberta, Pere Formiguera, Ferran Freixa, Alberto Garcia Alix, Jordi Guillumet, Manolo Laguillo, Martí Llorens, Francisco Navamuel, Mònica Roselló, America Sanchez, Manuel Serra and Mariano Zuzunaga.
The show is also a partnership venture with the Alzheimer International Foundation, and and the proceeds from the sale of the works will be divided between Alzheimer International-Pasqual Maragall Foundation and the Associació Humberto Rivas to support scientific research and help conserve the legacy of the Argentine photographer’s work.
