Víctor Mira, born in Zaragoza in 1949, was a Spanish painter and sculptor. His work, both pictorial and sculptural, is inspired by the aesthetics of expressionism and is characterised by high density plastic and the constant presence of symbols and allegories about death. He is also the author of the books Situation in Barcelona (1982) and Mother Zaragoza (1985).
Víctor died at the age of 54 as a suicide victim on the 18th of November 2003 in Germany. He was hit by a tram a few kilometres from the town of Breitbrunn, near the city of Munich.
