Galician Héctor Francesch is part of the new generation of artists who were born during the post-Franco era of freedom and enlightenment. He uses paint and graphic design to combine icons of comics and cinema with art, to create dark works which move familiar characters from their original context to those with connotations of sex and death.His most recent exhibition, Good morning Tulipán, presents Francesch's own unique brand of ironic nostalgia.
