La Rambla of yesteryear is reconstructed at this show featuring 100 original images taken by one of Spain's first photojournalists, Frederic Ballell (1864-1951) in 1907 and 1908.

The exhibition forms part of a new project entitled Guia secreta de la Rambla (Secret guide of the Rambla), organised by La Virreina, El Centre de l'Imatge, which aims to capture the day to day life of the city's bustling street–from March 25th, La Virreina hosts a series of exhibitions, debates and film screenings all focusing on this street that is the heart of Barcelona.
