The summer may be drawing to a close, but Barcelona’s festival season is still in full swing. First up this month is new kid on the block, Paral·lel. Born out of a frustration with long beer queues, over-programming and a lack of intimacy at many of the city’s festivals, Paral·lel’s organisers have promised limited capacity, quality sound, local food and a great location. Although the lineup is quite techno-heavy, the focus is on festival-goers, making sure they have an enjoyable experience whatever their musical preference.
