Take part in a guided tour of the Fundació Joan Miró in Montjuic, designed by local architect Josep Lluis Sert and opened in 1975. The tour, which is run by a group of local architects, El Globus Vermell, delves into the style and techniques adopted by Sert that established him as a key figure of Catalan avant-garde architecture. Visitors can explore the impressive courtyards, terraces and exhibition rooms to unravel the secrets behind Sert’s ingenious designs; from his use of light to the unusual interior and exterior juxtapositions, typical of Sert’s style.
Lasting one hour and 15 minutes, the guided tour is held on the first Sunday of every month at 11am in English and at 12.30pm in Catalan and Spanish.
The tour is free with admission price however there are limited places.
