Fundació Joán Miro presents 80 artworks by Czech artist František Kupka, showing for the first time in Spain and brought from the collection of the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. Kupka began his career in Prague, but later travelled to Vienna (where he became interested in allegorical and symbolic art) and then settled in the French capital and became one of the founders of the Abstract art movement—he is considered the first artist to explore the new genre. The exhibition highlights the evolution of this style of art and the methods that the artist developed throughout his career.
