Massive Attack home
What better way to justify a road trip or have an excuse to take a day off work than catching Massive Attack, Pete Doherty and actor Tim Robbins all in one place. They'll be performing at FIZ 2010, the independent music festival just up the road in Zaragoza on the weekend of the 8th & 9th of October.
Leaving the drugs, models and bar of soap on the tour bus, or at least we hope, London bad boy Pete Doherty joins the festival fresh from playing with the reformed Libertines in the UK, making his only Spanish solo appearance this year.
Robbins, similarly to Keanu Reeves and Sean Penn, has flown the “movie” coop for a folk collaboration and makes his debut performance on the Iberian Peninsula. We will cross our fingers for a Shawshank-standard performance. Joining him on the bill is Anni B Sweet, a breath of fresh air and a breeze of indie innocence from Andalusia and neon adidas-clad Brits, The Go! Team. And of course no introduction required, Massive Attack will be killing the stage and wrapping up the event on Saturday.
You can reach the festival by way of bus, www.alsa.es, or train www.renfe.es - both stations drop you off less than 2km from the auditorium.
