The first edition of ‘Verema Solidària’ (Solidarity Grape Harvest), organised by crowdfunding platform Goteo, will take place at Finca Parera vineyard in Sant Llorenç d’Hortons, in order to raise funds for two social projects for local non-profit organisations. The first provides remedial lessons to disadvantaged children in primary education, and the other is a therapeutic gardening programme for people suffering from mental disorders. Enjoy a unique day out in the Catalan countryside; try your hand at traditional harvesting, tuck in to a wholesome lunch freshly prepared by a local chef Xavier Pellice and meet people from all over, all in aid of a good cause.
There are a range of different price options depending on the activities in which you’d like to participate, starting from €35. Registration online in advance is obligatory. If you'd like to arrange an English speaking group, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The meeting point will be in the main square of La Beguda Alta between 9.30 and 10am, just a short distance from the vineyard.
