Visual Phonic kicks of its 2017 series with a cycle of silent films selected by director Isabel Coixet. The chosen films will be screened across three separate dates, each one accompanied by a live DJ set from a different female artist. For example, on March 17th, Jean Epstein’s La chute de la maison Usher (1928) will be shown with a new soundtrack mixed by DJ Virgine, and on April 21st, Georgina Fernández will spin the music for F. W. Murnau’s Tabu: A Story of the South Seas (1931).
