Día de Brasil 2012
Some of the participants from last year's festival celebrating Brazilian culture
The aim of the annual 'Día de Brasil' Festival of Brazilian Culture is to strengthen ties between the South-American behemoth and Spain. The festival proved immensely popular last year with over 10,000 people turning up to enjoy the festivities.
A number of musicians are set to play this year with Nêga Lucas, Larissa Baq, Thaïs Morell and many others already confirmed. There will also be various activities for participants to enjoy, including an opportunity to join in with the 'drum & dance' group Ketubara and to participate in what could possibly be the largest gathering of 'Baterías' (drum players) in Catalan history. Authentic Brazilian cuisine is to be served up as well.
