Festival Músiques des d'un balcó 2011
Forget the Palau Sant Jordi, el Fòrum and Razzmatazz. The Barcelona music festival with the tiniest venues (and proud of it), returns for an evening of performances given from balconies in the square of Plaça Comerç in Sant Antoni.
Starting at 5.30, the free show will see different bands take up their spot in different balconies around the square to play their music for those listening on the ground below.
Among those taking part are Nose Beatbox, a finalista in the Beatbox Battle Spain, Young Cats (the youngest members of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band) and Biel Ballester Trio & Randy Greer (performaing gypsy jazz mixed with the spiritual sound of Nat King Cole).
In the morning, from 11.30, there will be musical performances taking place as part of the festival's fund-raising initiative, with contributions welcome from €5; get involved and you could win yourself a round of applause from the audience or the chance to enjoy a meal with the musicians and organisers of the festival.
