Erland and The Carnival
It would have been understandable if the Londoners had taken a break after their debut work became a cult hit. However, one year on and Erland and The Carnival return with a darker and more electronic and twisted recording.
Their success is hardly a surprise considering members of the band have previously been involved with the likes of The Verve, Blur, Gorillaz and The Cult but this sound is somewhat different. Traditional folk music is mixed with garage and American folk influences to put a contemporary spin on some old school tracks. Nightingale aims to pick up where they left off and first single 'Map of an Englishman' is out now.
