Directed by Romanian choreographer of Jewish descent Sharon Lavi, a choreographer and dancer, this performance explores the idea of a crossroads between the East and West, and includes themes of legend, decadence and hope. The Mediterranean region is the backdrop for Epic, with its permanent path moving between the past and present.
Lavi has been based in Barcelona since 2001 and formed Tapeplas in 2002, whose work focuses on contemporary dance that highlights relations between ethnic and European cultures.
