Don Eddy (California, 1944) is a painter based in New York who won the hyper initial recognition as an artist in the 60s.
MEAM (European Museum of Modern Art) presents Don Eddy's work from February 11th to March 30th. Eight of his recent polyptychs created between 2005 and 2011:
There is no Road to Grace 's House (2005), A River Called In Lumen Profero (2008), Last Few Tears (2008), Eon (2009), My Brother 's Keeper (2009), Place Bandit IV (2009), Revelation Rain (2010) and Mono No Aware II (2011).
Recent work of this American master has moved away from photographic realism that had characterized his early stages, to exploring the realm of metaphysics. His pieces have a great contribution to the art market today.
In his early works from the '60s and '70s, Eddy paid tribute to American cars and the urban landscape and references to pop culture and post-industrial capitalism.
From Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 8pm.
