Diego el Cigala
Nephew of Rafael Farina, flamenco singer Diego el Cigala grew up in the heart of el Rastro, right in the midst of the Madrileño scene.
He started out early and by 12 he was already winning prizes. Since then he has collaborated with greats like Tomatito and Camerón. However his seminal 2003 album, Lágrimas Negras, on which he played with Cuban piano player Bebo Valdés is seen as his greatest work. 2010 saw the release of album Cigala & Tango - Gran Rex alongside a DVD of the concert performance at the Gran Rex theatre in Buenos Aires where he played in front of 3000 fans.
