Palau Robert and the Casa Mali have joined forces to showcase the arts and crafts of the western African country Mali.
Around 40 percent of the active population in Mali are involved in the making of crafts, such as leather goods, jewellery, sculpture, textiles and making musical instruments. This craftsmanship will be on show and available to buy on the stalls at this fair. Alongside this they will also be showcasing the country as a destination for tourism; since the Nineties Mali receives around 220,000 visitors annually. There will also be live music performances and the projection of films. See website for more information.
