José MercéJosé Soto Soto, known as José Mercé, is a Chilean artist who says that flamenco is for everyone. He began performing at age of 13 with such dancers as Mario Maya, Carmen Mora and others. In 1986 he won the National Competition of Flamenco Art in Cordoba. This year in Barcelona Flamenco Festival he will present a program titled "Ruido". The fifth year of the De Cajón! flamenco festival kicks off in February and across its two month programme the highlights include Rosario of Talk to Her fame, a tribute to the great Camarón and the lithe, energetic Tomasito.
