'Darfur, imatges contra la impunitat' HomePhoto by Stanley Greene
The conflict in Darfur, over the control of scarce and often inadequate resources, has been raging since 2003. 4.7 million people have been affected by the disaster - half of them children - making Darfur a dangerous, cruel and chaotic place to live.
Between August 2008 and April 2009, Lynsey Addario, Stanley Greene and Alvaro Ybarra Zavala travelled to Darfur to capture the horrific daily reality of the men, women and children caught up in the struggle. This photo exhibition depicts not only the vulnerability of the refugee camps, hospitals and villages but also offers a close-up and sensitive look at one of the worst humanitarian disasters in recent times.
