Danza Contempóranea de Cuba
Barcelona's main dance venue, Mercat de les Flors, welcomes back the Cuban dance group with a double programme of performances, showing for just two days each.
On Thursday and Friday, you can see three different pieces including 'Demo-n/Crazy' by Catalan choreographer Rafael Bonachela, which requires a high level of technical ability on the part of the dancers taking part, and 'Folia' from the Dutch choreographer Jan Linkens, and which explores body language from a neo-classical perspective.
The second programme, showing on Saturday and Sunday, features just one piece, 'casi' performed by 20 dancers from the company and accompanied by live music, also performed by group members (voice, percussion and piano).
Shows at 9pm, except Sunday when it the show starts at 7pm; price - €28
