Kowasa gallery presents the latest series of photographs by American-born, Barcelona-based John Frederick Anderson. 'Cuadrícula Barcelona' (Grid Barcelona) explores the urban design of Barcelona, paying particular attention to the work of designer Ildefons Cerdà, the key planner behind the 1859 Eixample plan. A unique consideration of both the old and the new in the city, Anderson's photographs picture not only this unique neighborhood plot, but also other parts of the city where layers of "skin" on buildings harken back to Roman times.
Kowasa opens the exhibition at 8pm on Thursday, December 10 with a reception.
