Lo que nos queda
'Lo que nos queda' ('That which is left to us') is, in the words of the artist Madrileña Concha Pérez, “a photographic series showing in an implicit way, all changes, uses and reactions that are being produced in our environment every day.”
Her images show spaces that have been abandoned, forgotten, highlighting the tension between what was, what is and what could be. There are empty classrooms, a once-used stage with microphones still in place and a dining-room where no-one is eating. So do these environments retain their identity even when they're no longer being used for their original designation and no humans are in sight?
