Clouds by Frayn
The renowned British playwright Michael Frayn is the author of this philosophical comedy set in mid-Seventies communist Cuba. The story revolves around the particular obsessions of the three the main characters—two British journalists and one American academic, each with their own agenda which keeps them from seeing beyond their personal perspectives. Frayn satirises the clash of cultures, making a smart play out of the English abroad, whose efforts to engage with the local cultures is inhibited by their inability to understand what is happening around them.
