Already a great success across Latin America thanks to their cumbia colombiana sound, the eight-member group Chico Trujillo visit Barcelona as part of their latest European tour.
As well as cumbia, the band combine ska, Chilean culture, pop, rock and Balkan rhythms to create a unique sound that gets audiences dancing, practically whether they want to or not.
The band was formed in 1999 in Valparaíso in Chile, starting as a two-man act made up of punk musician Aldo 'Macha' Asenjo (of La Floripondio) and guitarist Antonio Orellana. Once the other members had joined them and they found their voice through mixing up the various sounds that inspire and move them, Chico Trujillo's success has grown non-stop.
Note: your ticket to see Chico Trujillo will also get you in to Mundo Canibal on the same day, which includes a concert by the Ecuadorian band Tomback.
