The Ming Dynasty refers to 276 years (1368-1644) of Chinese history, and was notably one of the most successful periods for European trade and stability. This defining era saw numerous emperors and a vast population increase, resulting in a new consumer culture and passion for prestigious art. Several artefacts, such as jewellery, textiles, porcelain, paintings and more, illustrate the dynasty’s artistic advances and are now displayed in Spain for the first time. The exhibition is here in Barcelona until October and is well worth a visit to witness the striking collection of an elegant era.
Tickets are available from €4. More information here.
