CaixaForma presents a major retrospective exhibition that offers a broad overview of the life and work of legendary Finnish architect, Alvar Aalto (1898-1976)—one of the most important 20th-century advocates of organic architecture. His work includes architecture, furniture, textiles, glasswear and more, and he explored a variety of different working methods between the Twenties and the Seventies.
The exhibition presents the most significant buildings, furniture and lighting designs and explores the inspiration that shaped his work. It incudes twelve models and over one hundred pieces of furniture, original drawings, lamps and many other objects.
