Australian stand-up comedian Brendon Burns won the prestigious if.comedy award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2007, the top-rated award in the UK's comedy industry. But he first started in the early Nineties, and has built up a reputation for an aggressive stage presence and not shying away from the controversial. Other credits to his name include giving up the presenting gig of tv spin-off I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here Now! after just three shows, while he has also produced six CDs of his live work, for which he is most renowned.
"Simply a legend in the making…sparkling stuff", The Guardian
"You have only ever really toked on pure socio-political comedy. With Brendon you are mainlining, and the hit is a feeling I will never, ever forget, the smartest thing I have ever seen in the comedy section " ***** Kate Copstick, The Scotsman
