The latest choreography from Jordi Cortés and his dance company Alta Realitat once again seeks to push the limits of the human boday.
This show, Black Out, premiered at the end of last year and for its creation, Cortés sought out participants and dancers with physical handicaps, as well as able-bodied dancers and actors, as he did with his previous, critically-acclaimed work V.I.T.R.I.O.L.—his aim is to question the power of body images as well as that of shadows.
Cortés takes part in Black Out and is accompanied on stage by Mercedes Recacha, Raïl Perales and Maria José Moya ('La José'), who performs in a wheelchair.
