Near Death Valley - Ansel Adams
Beyond the Horizon
The Fundació Joan Miró presents an exhibition examining the horizon as a recurring element in the history of modern painting, from the nineteenth century to present day. Visitors will see the importance of the horizon in history and culture and the changing nature of its representation.
The exhibition will contain pieces by Monet, Böcklin, Hockney, Tàpies, Perejaume, Magritte and Miró, looking at everything from Romanticism to Impressionism to the present, arranged between pictorial, photographic and sculptural interpretations of the horizon.
