The Original Wailers come together to make music for a good cause. The reggae group led by Al Anderson, whose extensive work with Bob Marley on songs such as No Woman, No Cry and Dem Belly Full first put the Wailers' music on rock fans' radars, is putting on a charity concert for Stand Up for Jamaica. Stand Up for Jamaica employs the message from Jamaican reggae of peace and love to help the people of the country who live in social abandonment and despair without an opportunity to have a voice of their own. The ultimate goal of the non-profit association is to inform public opinion of the violations of human rights that take place on the island while providing new opportunities to victims of violence and helping children who have suffered abuse and must go through rehabilitation.
The concert begins at 8.30pm.
