Returning to Barcelona for its 16th edition, the Festival Mil·lenni is known for offering a quality range of musical genres and bringing class acts to different venues in the city. This year promises to be no exception, with six months of concerts by national and international names.
Inaugurating the festival on November 2nd will be US R&B and soul singer Macy Gray, who brings her powerful raspy voice to the relatively intimate Teatre Barts. Also in November are US singer songwriter Cat Power (L'Auditori, 13th), and Australian brother-sister folk-blues group Angus and Julia Stone (Barts November 6th). The legendary Jon Mayall will be performing at the Auditori on the 18th.
December brings us Spanish singer, musician and songwriter Leiva (December 2nd, L'Auditori), and another musical legend in the guise of Marianne Faithful, who will be at the Palau de la Música on December 9th. Spanish singer Vanesa Martín will play at the Auditori on December 12th.
Other acts that have been confirmed are Spanish singer Chambao (December 27th, Palau de la Música) and Spanish old-timers Elefantes (March 19th, L'Auditori).
