The route meanders around restaurants of Barcelona in an effort to celebration of Peruvian gastronomy, reflecting Peru’s status as the ‘World’s Best Culinary Destination’ according to World Travel Awards. Organised by the Chamber of Commerce of Peru in Spain, the event seeks to reveal the character and richness of the Peruvian cuisine with tastings, presentations and demonstrations. The emblematic seafood dishes of ceviche and tiradito are presented along the route, allowing diners to taste the traditional food of the Pacific coast of Peru. This cultural activity also provides diners with the chance to understand the historic and gastronomic relationship between Peru and Spain, providing a background to the extensive influence of Peruvian cuisine.
