On the evening of May 21st from 7pm until 1am, the majority of Barcelona's museums will open their doors free of charge to visitors. A total of 52 museums will display their permanent collections and temporary exhibitions, as well as offering activities, dance, performances, concerts, lectures and tours. There are 6 suggested routes through the city, which can be viewed on the Nit des Museus website. In addition, this year a new initiative has been introduced called Creació & Museus, which will link some of the city’s many creative spaces with specific museums. Nit dels Museus has been promoted by the Council of Europe and has involved more than 3,000 museums in 40 countries. The complete programme of activities and the list of participating museums can be found on the Nit dels Museus website or via the Nit dels Museus app which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.
