The Barcelona International Comedy festival returns for its fifth edition as the world's only multilingual comedy festival.
Lasting four weeks, the festival will feature international and local comedians, along with a host of stand-up, improv and cabaret shows in five languages: Catalan, Castilian, English, Dutch and Swedish. Headliners Sean Hughes and Rich Hall are set to perform at the festival, which will also host a variety of interactive workshops, competitions and comedy cinema screenings.
Sadly, news reaches us that this event will mark the end of the Giggling Guiri comedy events in Barcelona, although the intention is to carry on with the annual comedy festival. So make the most of it, folks—legends like Hughes and Hall don't visit us every day and we're going to be seeing a lot less of their kind in the future.
The festival will run from September 27th to October 20th at various locations across the city, including Las Cuevas del Sorte and Teatre Centre Artesà Tradicionarius. Full information and schedule can be found at: www.barcelonacomedyfestival.com
