Summer has truly arrived once you find yourself sitting, sipping on a cocktail and taking in the spectacular views on offer from one of Barcelona’s impressive rooftop terraces. It’s the sixth edition of this initiative, which sees 66 hotels invite visitors up on the roof.
The many rooftop terraces of Barcelona’s hotels tend to be the territory of tourists throughout the year, but the aim of this initiative is to remove the barrier between hotels and locals, to encourage a new, positive relationship between these tourist hubs and those who have their home in the city.
From cocktail-making masterclasses, synchronised swimming displays and food-tasting sessions to live music performances, DJ sets and more, over 234 activities are taking place throughout the week at the various hotels involved. Not only does Hotel Terrace Week allow you to enjoy some breathtaking views of the city that perhaps, before now, you will not have had the chance to see, but it also allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of life on the ground below and relax—you’ll feel like you’re on top of the world.
