The festival marks a unison between Barcelona and Buenos Aires as the cities pay tribute to the legendary French Argentine singer, Carlos Gardel, through the promotion of tango—one of Argentina’s most prominent exports, alongside FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, of course! Taking place in various locations around the city, the festival offers concerts, dance performances, milongas (a tango dancing event) and classes. The majestic Plaça Reial is set for an evening of elegance this Saturday with a free, outdoor milonga, while Portal de l'Àngel transforms into a dance studio with free classes on Monday and Tuesday evenings. The festival also collaborates with the GREC to bring you ‘Nit de Tango’, featuring classic group Quinteto Real, before Sexteto Guardiola close with a live performance at Sala Sandaru next Friday.
