Barcelona Cooking, a hands-on cookery school in the centre of Barcelona, is launching wine tasting and pairing experiences. Adding to its repertoire of existing classes that include La Boqueria market tours, daily cookery classes, gastronomy and tapas tours as well as private and tailor-made events, the classes will start on Wed October 30th at 6pm.
Led by resident wine expert and Metropolitan contributor Sam Zucker, Barcelona Cooking’s beautiful teaching kitchen becomes an intimate wine tasting room where Barcelona Cooking friends can savour five distinct wines from vineyards in the area surrounding Barcelona, enjoy carefully selected food pairings, learn about the different Catalan wine regions, wine-making methods and how to taste wine like a professional.
The classes start with a crisp, cold glass of 'champagne-style' cava, before moving on to white, rosé, red and dessert wines, all with appropriate food pairings.
Check out Barcelona Cooking’s Facebook page for updates. Bookings can be made by email at email@example.com or by phone on +34 931 191 986. The classes are two hours each and are given in English. From November 7th, the classes will be every week on Thursdays at 6pm. The class costs €45.
