Concert pianist, composer, writer and researcher Romayne Wheeler (born 1942, California) brings his raw and dramatic piano recital to Barcelona. Since 1992, Wheeler spends much of the year living among the Tarahumara people, an indigenous group in the Mexican state of Chihuahua who refer to piano music as ‘water music’. He has studied their dances and music and his compositions have been influenced by them. He will be performing four dates in and around Barcelona with the profits going to the Romayne Wheeler Tarahumara Relief fund.
