Els Tallers Obert was created in 1996 as a platform for opening artistic spaces to the public, and has evolved to become an integral part of Poblenou’s development. The programme has strengthened connections between artists and neighbours in the barrio. This year celebrating its 20th anniversary, the programme of activities coincides with the neighbourhood’s annual street festival, offering locals and visitors with an ample selection of exhibitions, installations, projections, concerts, DJ sets and more, from a range of artistic disciplines. With 19 artists and 140 art spaces participating, including the Hangar.org La Escocesa La Fundicio, Sala Ramona Quardrat 9 and Taller Pallars, the programme provides the perfect week for art lovers.
