Alisa Weilerstein

American classical cellist Alisa Weilerstein began playing at the age of four, before going on to establish herself as a leading musician and performer, winning a MacArthur “genius grant” Fellowship in 2011. With a distinctive musical voice, her work is marked by a combination of technical skill and passionate immersion in her music. Having played with renowned orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic and Barenboim, she now comes to Barcelona, interpreting one of Beethoven's most well known works, his Symphony no. 5.
