Arnau Puig. Thinking Images
Arnau Puig is widely known as the founder of the postwar publications Algol (1946) and Dau al Set (1948) and was one of the main promoters of modernism in Catalonia.
The exhibition takes a look at two key formative events in his career. The first section examines his historical and sociological background all the way up to the beginnings of his previously mentioned postwar avant-garde projects. The second section explores his later life which he spent in Paris and where he was highly influenced by existentialism.
To complement the exhibition, Maite Ninou has designed an audiovisual presentation featuring an interview with Arnau Puig himself, which offers a deeper explanation of his thoughts and experiences.
Entrance to this exhibition at La Virreina is free of charge.
