This is not your usual karaoke. Participants transform into their rock heroes and offer up three hours of high quality sound to rival that of a live show.
There is very little excuse not to get involved. The show has a repetoire of over 500 of the greatest rock and pop songs of all time (all performed in their original English versions), there is an emergency dress-up area to get you looking the part and there will be between 300 and 600 screaming fans helping you along with the words.
Created by the North American comic Rachel Arieff, Anti-Karaoke takes place every Monday in Barcelona and has attracted rock stars, tourists, drag-queens and porn stars looking for an alternative clubbing experience.
This event will be a special one dedicated to Carnival celebrations, so expect even more outlandish costumes and performances than normal (if that was possible...).
